The contact form

If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter: your name, company, email address, area of interest and message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible collaboration.

The form is delivered by email through Resend, our processor, to hello@danuviasoftware.com. The legal basis is your request to be contacted and, where it leads to a contract, steps taken before entering into it.

Retention: this website stores nothing and has no database. Resend's delivery log keeps the message temporarily, according to Resend's own retention. A copy is kept in our business mailbox (Microsoft 365, provided via GoDaddy) for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, and at most 12 months after our last communication. If it leads to cooperation, it is kept for the duration of the cooperation and for the statutory periods (for example accounting).

The form also contains a hidden field meant only to catch automated bots. It is not personal data and is discarded.

IP address and bot protection

When you send the contact form, your IP address is used briefly to limit how many messages one address can send (rate limiting). This count is held in the server's memory only, is not written to a database and disappears on its own.

The same request is checked by Vercel BotID, which decides whether the visitor is a person or an automated bot. Our legitimate interest is keeping the form free of spam and abuse.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any host, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver the pages and keep them secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the time and address of the request, in server logs for a limited period.

Analytics

We measure page views and loading speed with Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, both processed by Vercel. These tools are cookieless and produce aggregate page-view and performance statistics; they do not build a profile of you or follow you across websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring visits and performance. Vercel does not store your IP address or build a visitor profile; the data is aggregated and kept for the period Vercel applies to our plan.

Cookies

We set no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. The site sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, when you open a language version. It remembers whether you are using English or Serbian, holds only that language code, is limited to this site (SameSite=Lax) and expires when you close your browser. It is strictly necessary for the language selection to work and holds no personal data, so no consent banner is needed.

The home-page hero also keeps one entry in your browser's local storage, under the key danuvia-relief-v2: a small map image derived from public chart data, saved so the page loads faster on your next visit. It holds no personal data and is never sent to our server.

The bot-protection script of Vercel BotID runs in your browser whenever a page loads, not only when you send the form.

External content: map image

The map in the home page hero loads an image from upload.wikimedia.org, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. When your browser requests it, your IP address and browser details are visible to Wikimedia, which handles them under its own privacy policy. We do not control that processing.

The live sky in the hero

The time, sky and weather at the top of the home page are made without contacting anyone on your behalf. The sun, moon and stars are computed in your browser. The weather is fetched by our own server from MET Norway at most every 30 minutes, whoever visits, and cached there; your browser only asks this website for it. MET Norway therefore never receives your IP address or any other data about you.

Who receives your data

Our processors and recipients: Resend (delivery of the contact form email), Vercel (hosting, bot detection and cookieless analytics) and Microsoft (Microsoft 365, provided via GoDaddy), where the form messages are delivered and kept in our business mailbox. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Transfers outside Serbia and the EEA: contact-form data (name, company, email, interest, message) goes to Resend, a US company. Technical request data (IP address, browser, time, URL) goes to Vercel, a US company, for hosting, logs, bot detection and aggregated analytics. The basis is the data processing agreements (DPA) we have with these providers and their certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The NEXT_LOCALE cookie and the local-storage entry never leave your browser.

Your rights

Under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (ZZPL) and the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased or its processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on it.

To use any of these rights, write to hello@danuviasoftware.com. You also have the right to complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia (poverenik.rs) or to the supervisory authority in your own EU country.

Changes

If what the site does with personal data changes, for example when we add new tools, we update this page and its date.
